WE LOVE OUR KOPI
PACKAGING ILLUSTRATION
In Singapore, we have our unique coffee (aka “kopi” in the local dialect) culture that traces back to Robusta coffee beans roasted with margarine or butter and a small amount of caramel sugar. This aromatic, full-bodied local brew employs a traditional coffee brewing technique that uses a cloth filter resembling a sock.
As Singaporeans, we love our kopi. The sight, sound and smell when partaking of a cup of kopi at the kopitiam (coffeeshop) have become an integral part of Singaporean collective memory and ritualistic pleasure.
However, few would know the makeup of our eclectic local coffee blends– from the ratio of water, coffee and milk to the number of calories per serving.
To that, we were inspired to brew clarity on the genetics of our lingo-rich kopi blends through chic packaging design. Our little tribute to Singapore’s endearing coffee culture.
